Conservation in Costa Rica is just one of the many volunteer placements offered by Projects Abroad in developing countries.
The Conservation Project is located in Barra Honda National Park which is about a 4 hour drive from San Jose and is made up of 2,295 acres of dry tropical forest that is intertwined with deep caverns. Volunteers are involved in a number of tasks such as helping with wildlife research, conducting maintenance work and running conservation education programmes.
