Malta Raptor Camp
BirdLife Malta will be running its annual Raptor Camp from the 11th September to the 26th September. International volunteers are invited to join local bird watchers in maintaining a strong presence in the countryside to deter illegalities and record bird migration.The camp is hard work - early morning starts and afternoons spent in the countryside till dark falls. When rarer species roost in vulnerable locations volunteers may be called to spend the night in the birds' vicinity to guard them from the poachers. The camp is also a tremendously rewarding experience for those who want to make a difference.
