Wildlife volunteering in Canada, USA and Guyana

Fronteering

Salary: Volunteer

Get ready for an adventure and rescue and rehabilitate orphaned and injured wildlife in Canada, Guyana and the USA! Through our Volunteer Program you can take part and help provide a second chance to rescued wildlife. They are in need all year round!

As most volunteer locations are in remote parts of Canada, USA and Guyana this is a great opportunity for those that love nature and the outdoors.

Our Volunteer Programs are by no means an' easy holiday option'. The volunteer experience can quite exhausting at times but will definitely be a rewarding experience!

What will I do during my Volunteer experience?
Depending on the volunteer project that you have chosen you could be rehabilitating wildlife like raccoons, otters, skunks, deer, coyotes, possums or if you are willing to stay for a longer period you are allowed to take care of bears or wolves! Other projects involve researching Black Caiman in the Amazon Jungle of Guyana, protecting turtle nesting grounds or assist with wildlife monitoring projects!

Fronteering also offer projects related to domestic abused animals or for example care for huskies and joining on exciting dog sledding trips!

Keep in mind that when for example volunteering at a wildlife project, not all your time will be spent with the animals. There will be lot's of maintenance to do with the animal's cages/habitats as well as the volunteer organizations property, cleaning, preparing food and many other tasks.
