Conservation Officer (Casework and Sites Policy)

A Conservation Officer is required to develop and promote better protection for wildlife in Wales. The role will specialise in responding to planning and consenting application casework on land and at sea, and developing policy to ensure the better protection of important sites in Wales, including designated sites and RSPB Reserves.
A key element of this exciting opportunity will be working to influence the Welsh Government's development of new policy and legislation. You will have a sound knowledge of planning and protected area legislation, policy and/or practice. You will have the ability to devise and promote policy, produce written material of a high standard, and communicate with a range of audiences including politicians and senior officials within the Welsh Government.
