BTO cuckoos heading north

22/02/2012 11:38:34 Second cuckoo starts his migration
February 2012. After Kasper's re-emergence and northwards movements, Clement has now also started the long journey back to Britain.

Clement is no longer the most southerly of the BTO Cuckoos. BTO received a transmission from Clement's tag at 9.35 on 20 February that showed that he had moved 450km (280 miles) north-west. He is now in Cameroon.

This is the second large movement that BTO have seen from their Cuckoos, with Kasper having moved north-west into Nigeria - very much on a parallel track to Clement.
