This remarkable Green turtle was seen in the Oman Sea off Iran by Asghar Mobaraki. As a turtle enthusiast, Asghar an a few helpers caught the turtle and cleaned the shell of barnacles and other assorted algae before releasing the turtle back into the sea.
Should wildlife be left alone?
While Wildlife Extra understands that this ws done to help the turtle and with the best intentions, we question whether we should interfere with natural processes. It looks like the turtle was already old, and the barnacles and other attachments were all part of a natural process.
