PLEASE BE AWARE of all the rules of this "contest" : - By entering, all photographers agree to give FULL usage rights of their images (including all commercial use) to the contest organizers and their partners (one of the largest media groups in France, as well as a nature book editor, ...) - for free ! So basically, you pay to give them your best work for 2 years for free !!!! - The IUCN has a proven track record of using photographer's work without paying for it. - The top prizes include a trip - great, but the rules specify you agree to freely give your work made during this trip to the press group ... - The media group is also trying to impose ridiculously low payment for all their contributors, who refuse this new contract. The contest is a way for them to get a large number of free images and articles, thus squeezing the contributors even more. - They also associated with a nature travel agency, organizing trips where all participants agree to give them all their images of the trip for free !!! All this made many, many French, Belgian & Swiss photographers (amateurs and pros alike) react by boycotting both the contest, and the magazine Terre Sauvage. By joining this boycott, we want to help saving quality nature & wildlife photography, and put pressure on the organizers so that the usage of the images would be limited to the promotion of the contest (fair use). So now the organizers try to get free images from other sources - like you ...
