Hanoi police have seized eight tiger skeletons, three panther heads, 560 gall bladders and more than 700 kilograms of wildlife parts in a raid on two houses in Hanoi. The stockpile is estimated to be worth billions of Vietnamese Dong on the black market. Hanoi police searched the houses after they caught two men transporting panther and chamois bones on a city street. The police also discovered an area to process animal bones and to dry gall. Six other people involved in the trafficking ring have been detained by the police. Officials suspect that this might be the biggest wildlife bone and tusk trafficking ring ever found in Hanoi. Good news from the TV series 'Land of the Tiger' is always counterbalance by bad news such as this. why are humans so destructive? why can we not allow animals to live alongside us? Above all, why are we so selfish?
