A new amphibian species in the Megophryidae family is recently discovered in Vietnam. This toad is discovered in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park in Lam Dong Province, the Central Highlands of Vietnam, by a group of American, Australian and Vietnamese scientists.

The new species, named as Leptobrachium leucops, is found at the altitude of around 1500-1900 m above sea level. Leptobrachium leucops is nocturnal, has a length of 4.5 cm and have partly white pupils, ridges on their skin and several stripes on their four limbs. The animal is also distinguished from similar frogs by its small body size and dark belly.
