Polar bear on the ice in Spitzbergen
Many photographers like close up shots and little else, they often sell the best. In a situation like this I felt it important to use the bear as a tool to access the rest of the photograph. Take out the bear and you have an interesting backdrop with differing colours and tracks, by putting in the bear it opens up the whole canvas.
