Primates of the World - 15% discount and free postage and packing

reviews/reviews_2010/primates-of-the-world Written by Ian Redmond - Foreword by Jane Goodall
Published by New Holland

As you would expect from a book written by such an authority as Ian Redmond, this is a top book. Covering nearly 300 species of primate from all around the world, this is a thorough and well written encyclopaedia of the worlds primates. Jane Goodall's foreword is almost worth the money in itslelf.

"What do a 120 gram pygmy marmoset, a 250 kilogram gorilla, a bushbaby and us humans have in common?" - Well done, we are all primates. Look back just 90 million years ago, and we all shared the same ancestor (Sorry Creationistas - Darwin, Linnaeus et al were right.).

The books covers pretty much every species of primate known today; their evolution and current status; the immense pressure they are under from man, and how Responsible Tourism can provide a lifeline (Note the word RESPONSIBLE).
