Apparently there are 230,000 known species living in the world's seas and oceans, and in this rather thin book Eyers covers a few dozen of the most disgusting and surprising. Written in an "Underwater QI" style, Eyers keeps the readers interest with a selection of unusual and interesing facts about some of the weirder sea creatures that have been so far discovered (it is estimated that there are 4-10 more awaiting discovery still).
What there is is fun, and Eyers certainly knows his stuff, but the book is small and thin, and the many images are reproduced poorly in black and white - But what do you expect at this price?
