Hi-Tec Altitude IV WPi NT Enviro

Hi - Tec and the National Trust have teamed up to create new environmentally-friendly walking boots. Inspired by the landscapes the National Trust cares for, the boots have been designed with the product's environmental ‘footprint' in mind, including recycled materials and minimal use of chemicals normally found in footwear.

We tried the boots and found them very comfortable and dry. The remarkable thing about them is that despite their revolutionary manufacturing process, their is no reduction in performance. I found that they fill the gap between my lightweight boots and my old heavy duty hard core trekkers. They kept my feet very warm and dry despite plenty of mud, rain and puddles. I didn't get the chance to use them in very cold weather or snow.

A final little boost, the tag attached to each boot is impregnated with some wild flower seeds, so just bury it in a pot or bit of soil.
