RSPB British Birds of Prey

After years of prosecution and decline, birds of prey are making a comeback in Britain. There are still many issues, poisoning of Goldene agles and Hen harriers, but numbers in general have improved. There is now greater protection of species, and general awareness of issues.

This is a very good book, one of the best on British Birds of Prey. Each species found in Britain has its own pages that include details on their population, distribution and habitat, and some really good images. This is not a field guide, but anyone who has an interest in british raptors should seriously consider buying this book. It is very well written, highly informative and highlights all the issues that these glorious birds still face.

RRP £24.99, but usually available from Amazon for around £14 - £15. Click RSPB British Birds of Prey.
