Moorcroft Wood Local Nature Reserve

Moorcroft Wood LNR is an unusual but attractive nature reserve in Moxley, Walsall. It is owned and managed by Walsall Council. The Wildlife Trust are working closely with the Council looking at ways of improving the wildlife management and access to the reserve.

Wildlife highlights:  Birds include Sparrowhawk, Buzzard, Greater spotted woodpecker, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Coal tit and Bullfinch.

How to get there: The reserve lies on Hawkswood Drive, east of the A4098; there is parking available in a layby for a few cars.
