Bolam Lake Country Park has a variety of habitats, and all are open to the public, with a 25 acre lake, woodland and grassland you get a good variety of wildlife. Canoeing and fishing are allowed on the lake.
Highlights: Swans, and lots of them. You may also see Black headed gull, blackbird, Blue tit, bullfinch, carrion crow, chaffinch, Coal tit, Collared dove, Common gull, coot, goldeneye, Great Spotted woodpecker, Canada goose, House sparrow, jay, kestrel, Long tailed tit, magpie, mallard, moorhen, Mute swan, nuthatch, raven, robin, rook, song thrush, swift, treecreeper, Whooper swan, woodpigeon, wren.
