Bystock nature reserve
Bystock contains heath, grassland, woods, boggy areas and a small man-made lake.
Wildlife highlights: Important populations of dragonflies and damselflies, with emperor and golden-ringed dragonflies a common sight.
Butterflies - Holly blue, grayling and speckled wood are just a few of the many butterfly species present, and Silver studded blue were recorded mating in 2009.
Birds - Typical heathland species such as stonechat and Dartford warbler.
Location: Just north of Exmouth and Knowle on the B3179. There are paths around the reserve, though they can be rough and boggy.
