The Chase Nature Reserve
The London Wildlife Trust’s largest reserve, incorporating shallow wetlands, reedbeds, horse-grazed pasture, scrub and woodland.
Highlights: Nearly bird 200 species have been recorded here, including kingfishers, skylark, little ringed plover and lapwing all breed here. As well as rare migrating visitors periods such as pine bunting, great snipe and spotted crake. Water voles, great crested newts, slow worms and badgers can also be found here.
