Christopher Cadbury Wetland Reserve at Upton Warren

This 65 hectare reserve is home to two different types of pool - the moor pools and the flashes. The pools have been formed from brine extraction in the past. Both types of pool attract many bird species, but the flashes are of particular note for wintering wildfowl and waders.

Highlights: In the flashes in winter you may be lucky enough to see bittern. More common are water rail and common snipe.

Access: Open all year round.
There is wheel chair access.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust members should carry their membership card and non members require a permit to visit.

Location: The reserve lies of the A38 at Upton Warren between Droitwich and Bromsgrove, on the edge of the village of Stoke Prior.

Grid reference: SO 936677
