Clumber Park
Clumber Park has 3,800 acres of green open space including woods, open heath and rolling farmland, and is a haven to an amazing range of wildlife and great place to spot it.
Wildlife highlights: More than 200 species of bird have been recorded here. There is a large man made lake where you will find mallards, swans, geese and coots. Woodland and rough grassland both occur here, and Nightingale, hobby, great grey Shrike, Stonechat, Tree Pipits, Redstarts, Willow Warblers, Common Whitethroats, Yellow Hammers & hawfinch are all seen.
Roe deer are often seen at dusk, and butterflies include Brimstone and tortoiseshell.
Location: Clumber Park is 4½ miles SE of Worksop, 6½ miles SW of Retford, 1 mile from A1/A57, 11 miles from M1 exit 30.
By Bike: Clumber Park includes an idyllic section of the Sustrans National Cycle Network Route 6, so you can safely access the Park from both the north and south. There are four waymarked cycle routes which run through the property join up with this Sustrans route. Cycle parking is available at the main visitor facilities.
