Cors Caron National Nature Reserve
Situated in the upper valley of the Teifi River between Tregaron and Pontrhydfendigaid, the reserve is a fantastic place for wildlife. At over 2,000 acres, the reserve boasts three raised bogs - areas of deep peat that have built up over the last 120000 years. These are surrounded by a unique mix of wildlife habitats teeming with wildlife, including otters, water voles and colourful dragonflies, damselflies and butterflies.
Wildlife highlights: In summer, a rich variety of birds can be seen - including red kites hovering above , or curlews and redshank feeding on the reserve's rich pickings.
Location: The main car park is two miles north of Tregaron on the B4343.
Access: There are good paths and a board walk which gives easy access for wheelchair users and families using pushchairs.
