Lake Vyrnwy RSPB

Lake Vrynwy is surrounded by stunning scenery: heather moorland, forests, meadows, mountain streams, a river, waterfalls and crags.

Highlights: Wood warbler, Peregrine, Pied flycatcher, redstart, siskin. 2008 - after recent work, curlews seem to be returning and there are now 6-8 pairs.

Facilities: 3 hides, 5 trails (with some wheelchair access), refreshments, picnic area, toilets, 3d film.

Opening times
1 April to 31 October daily, 10.30 am-5.30 pm. 1 November to 24 December daily, 10.30 am-4.30 pm. 1 January to 31 March (weekends only), 10.30 am-4.30 pm.

Location:  From Llanfyllin, take the B4393 to Llanwddyn. Continue along the B4393 to Llanwddyn by taking a right turn. At the dam, turn left, then left at the end of the dam. The RSPB visitor centre is on the right.
