Lickey Hills Country Park
Lickey Hills Country Park is 520 acres of heathland and mixed woodland. The hills are actually in Worcestershire, but just 11 miles from Birmingham. There are several paths across the hills, and there are outstanding views from the top.
Highlights: Great Spotted woodpecker, sparrowhawk, goldcrest and brambling are amongst the many birds you might see. Grass snakes are common, and adders and common lizards can be see occassionaly sunning themselves on rocks.
Location: The village of Lickey lies on the B4096, or head to Rednal.
