Mottisfont Abbey Garden, House & Estate, National Trust

Mottisfont Abbey Gardens are one of the National Trust's top ten sites for butterflies.

Butterflies of Mottisfont Gardens
Everything imaginable turns up here as the Romsey area is excellent for butterflies. Purple Hairstreak and Holly Blue breed in the garden, and July woodland butterflies like Silver-washed Fritillary and White Admiral wander in regularly.

Location: Mottisfont is just north of the village of Dunbridge. Mottisfont is signposted off A3057 Romsey to Stockbridge road, 4½ miles north of Romsey. Also signposted off B3087 Romsey to Broughton road. Dunbridge has a railway station. Hampshire.
