Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve
Located near the World Heritage village of New Lanark, this 59 hectare reserve consists of woodland along the River Clyde gorge and 4 beautiful waterfalls. The fifteenth century Corra Castle is also in the gorge as is The Hall of Mirrors.
Highlights: A variety of warblers, tits and wrens can be found in the woodland and along with many wildflowers, fungi and invertebrates. Peregrine falcons, tawny owls and sparrowhawks can be spotted in the air. Badgers, foxes and roe deer are the larger mammals that live here, and the river is home to dippers, otters, herons and kingfishers.

Facilities: 2006 Opening times and admission
Visitor centre: January and February 12.00 pm to 4.00 pm, March to December 11.00 am to 5.00 pm, (closed on 25 - 26 December and 1 - 2 January).
Reserve: Summer 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Winter daylight hours.
Admission: Adults (concession) £3.00 (£2.00).
Children <16 years Free.
Scottish Wildlife Trust members Free.
Location: A mile south of Lanark, off the A73. Follow signs for New Lanark World Heritage Site. The visitor centre is in the Old Mill Dyeworks in New Lanark.
