Highlights: There is a wide variety of insect & other invertebrates & it is a good area for birdlife with many grassland, woodland & streamside species (including frequent kingfisher and heron sightings). In fact over 140 bird species have been recorded in the valley.
Location: Happy Valley LNR is lies between the A5102 & A 5149 / between Bramhall Park & Poynton. The main entrance is on the A5143 Bridge Lane at Womanscroft Bridge, just east of the A5102/A5143 Bramhall Park roundabout. There is a 2nd entrance at the end of Headlands Rd off the A5143. There is limited parking at both.

Happy Valley Local Nature Reserve
The reserve consists of a complex mix of wildlife habitats on the slopes & floor of Ladybrook Valley. There is a flood plain, some steep slopes that are partly wooded and partly grass, and some unimproved wet grassland.
