Salhouse Broad
Salhouse Broad covers an area of 32 acres is situated on the River Bure. The Broad is privately owned and managed in conjunction with the community of Salhouse.Wildlife highlights: Norfolk hawker dragonfly and swallowtail butterfly can both be found here. Marsh harriers, cormorants and reed warblers are amongst the more unusual birds, and Black swans can sometimes be seen.
Location & access: Salhouse Broad is about half a mile to the north of the village of Salhouse. There is a circular walk which is open to all (A donation is welcome), and the broad is also accessible by boat (Canoe hire available). There is a ferry (Easter until Mid-September) across to Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail.
