Lower Smite Farm

Lower Smite Farm is an 150 acre working farm which was paid for by a legacy from a member of Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.  It is a mixed farm with arable and pasture. Spring and winter crops are grown in rotation to maintain the benefit to soil, crop and wildlife. The area is being farmed to both conserve and encourage wildlife. Headlands, wide field margins, sites for nesting and roosting, new and ancient hedgerow and trees provide homes for the variety of flora and fauna around the farm.

Lower Smite Farm is the headquarters of Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, a working arable farm and an environmental education centre.

Wildlife highlights: Skylark, kestrel, Barn owl, wheatear, finches, blue-tailed damselflies.

Location: Lower Smite Farm lies just north of Worcester, off the A4538. Look for signs about 2 miles north of Junction 6 on he M5 on the A4538 towards Droitwich.
