Hundreds of avocets can also be seen on the estuary in winter.

Both reserves’ public footpaths and the hide at Bowling Green Marsh are always open. A foot ferry is sometimes available between across the Exe linking the two reserves.

Exe Estuary RSPB
This reserve has two separate areas of coastal grazing marsh on opposite sides of the estuary – Exminster Marshes and Bowling Green Marsh.
