Minsmere is a superb place to enjoy a day out, whether you are a birdwatcher or simply want a country walk with the family.
Wildlife highlights: Minsmere is just about the premier wildlife reserve in England. Bitterns, avocet, bearded tits, stone curlews, barn owls, England's largest herd of Red deer, otters, more than 1000 species of moths, Silver studded blue, Purple emperor, peaock, Red admiral, large wite, Painted lady, Camberwell Beauty, Queen Of Spain Fritillary and many more butterflies.
Opening times
Reserve: 9 am to dusk (or 9 pm if earlier). Visitor centre: 9 am-5 pm (4 pm from 1 November - 31 January). Shop: 10 am - 5 pm (4 pm from 1 November to 31 January). Tearoom: 10 am - 4.30 pm (4 pm from 1 November to 31 January); last orders 15 minutes before closing. Closed 25 and 26 December.
